Tim Goihl and Peter Wadsack went up to run an afternoon with Jason on his quest. We left Madison in pouring rain. And we took the rain with us. Tom told us this was the first rain day of the run...
We found Jason running along a back road. Tim quickly changed into running clothes and took off after him. Peter drove off to find Tom, who is driving Jason's car. The hours went by quickly, and Jason and Tim reached the half way point of the afternoon after just a couple of hours. Peter and Tim switched roles, runner and crew. Running, walking, talking, waving to the occasional vehicle.
After an afternoon on the roads, we arrived at John Muir Park, where there is a two mile segment of the IAT, around the small lake in the park. Trails were a great finish for a long day, and Tim and Peter ran the loop with Jason. Soft single track is the best!
