Day 10 another success, 50+ miles

It is hard to believe, but we are now done with 10 days. I am happy to say we are still only about 31 miles behind plan. I appreciate Tim Goihl's help in making the blog more user friendly so you can follow along better. I will attempt to put together a county by day list so you can see when I will be in your neck of the woods, but realize the schedule may still slip.

(Jason stopped at about mile 435 in Dells of the Eau Claire County Parkand will start there Tuesday morning - Click on End of Day 10 on the Google map)

Jason, you need to get your blogs done sooner so I can get to bed on time. Some folk say software programming is as demanding as running 50 miles a day and we need our sleep. Hey! Great work. Love to hear the updates and congrats on distance thus far. If you get time, the Riley ride is this Wed. We'll have a toast for you if you can't find time to make it. Best of luck going forward.

Hi Jason,

You look great, except for your poor scratched up legs. I need a long run this weekend, so plan on hooking up with you on Saturday and/or Sunday. Will call your crew to figure out how to meet up, where and when. Dave will be crewing for me, so that should make it easier. Let us know if you want any special foods (beer?) or anything. We can just throw it in the car for you so you'll have it ready for the end of that day.

Only 31 miles off your demanding schedule, that's fantastic! I don't know how you do it.

The scenery looks beautiful. It would be so neat to explore all the terrain. I hope it stays at a fun, enjoyable level for you, if possible! Watch for ticks.

Last Saturday I "scouted" the Waupaca County section from Hwy. 54 into Hartman Creek State Park and back and I got scratched up, too. I only ran 11 miles and wore myself out. Don't think I could have turned around and done it again on Sunday. (I KNOW I couldn't have done it for another 20 consecutive days!)

I hope to provide you with some company tomorrow once you approach my "neck of the woods."

Hey Jason, congratulations on your progess so far. I got a report from Ann as we both awaited the starting gun at the River to River Relay. It was like a Madison reunion up there with myself, Ann, Emily and Dave. Good luck on the rest of your adventure.

Hey Jason,

Just a quick note to say hi and continued good luck. Tom had lots of stories when we saw him on Saturday at the build-up run. We are all in awe of what you are doing. It's amazing how many people have come out of the woodwork (especially non-runners) and asked me "Do you know this guy?" A bunch of people I know through swimming are all tracking your progress.

Anyhow, lots of good wishes to you as you keep chugging along. When I do my little run in the parkway tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you!

Jason, it's been fascinating following your progress. Thanks for the daily drama. We wish you nothing but the best on the rest of your trek. We hope you enjoyed Marathon Co. today - we scouted our stretch of the Ringle Segment this weekend, cut back a few brambles and made sure the trail was well-defined. I would've left a bottle of Gatorade out for you but what sick freak drinks from a bottle they found out in the woods? You rock, man!
