Playing hooky

On the afternoon of April 30 (Monday), Pat Heyn and I played hooky from work and went to Janesville to see how Jason was doing. This was Day 17 for him. He had another very productive day - over 50 miles again, I think - most of the time running into a stiff easterly head wind. (Photo's inside!)

Day 17, 52 miles today, 797 total miles

Staying in Whitewater tonight after stopping in the middle of Bowers Lake Road to the NE of Milton.

Today was a great day. It never got too hot and Timo Yanacheck and Pat Heyn showed up later in the day to run the last 4-5 hours with me. Robert Wehner did a super job getting me to eat and drink over 4000 calories again.
