I'll try this again, my last post got lost in ether somewhere. We did 41 miles today. At mile 31 I felt great and was moving quickly. I got a nice surprise from Robert with Dairy Queen burger and dilly bar. Unfortunately by mile 41 I was ready to quit for the day, otherwise we would not have gotten to the hotel until after 7pm and that is really too late.
So now I am at 341 miles and only 28 miles behind. Tomorrow will start at Hwy B where the trail crosses south of Rhinelander off of Hwy 17. A lot of trail tomorrow means a 44 mile day would be very good. We will see how runnable they are. Bob Rusch will be with me for part of the day and it should be fun and quite hot. I am looking forward to next week when it cools back down.
